Shana Rainey

Boone, IA

Made from a mix of hand-soldered, stamped, painted copper, and brass, each jewelry item Shana Rainey creates turns into a one-of-a-kind piece. Adding to the whimsiness of each item, Shana cuts all her paintings and embeds them in bezels. She hand paints wood, metal, and leather to create a contrast between the different textures and colors she uses. The jewelry maker also dyes resin to create a stained glass look; includes vintage lace in her works to add a timeless feel; and she creates picture pendants to evoke emotion in her wearers. Needless to say, Shana’s variety of tools and maker methods lead to fantastically individualized wearable pieces.
