Join the Creative Collective: Showcase Your Art

The newly added banner exhibition and competition is a showcase of the creative talents of our community members. We invite artists of all ages and backgrounds to participate in this art display. Whether you're an experienced fiber artist or simply passionate about expressing yourself creatively, there's a category for you to shine:

  • Your banner must measure 72 inches long and 30 inches wide

  • Design must be visible from both sides and all deign elements must be securely attached

  • Banners with religious, partisan, or commercial messages will not be accepted. However, banners commemorating community organizations are permitted

  • Dowel: Use a 36-inch poplar dowel, 5/8 or 3/4 inches in diameter, extending 3 inches on each side of the banner

  • Banners must have a weighted bottom to ensure proper hanging, a heavy metal chain enclosed in a sleeve and sewn into place is recommended

  • Artist Information: Include the artist's name or group, along with the year the banner was made

Optional: You may include the title of the banner

  • Fabric: Use heavy-weight, colorfast, weather-resistant materials such as sailcloth, duck, canvas, or heavy twill.

Avoid: Burlap, felt, loosely woven fabrics, see-through plastics, water-soluble glues, fragile adornments, and glitter

  • Banners may be shipped or delivered by hand
