Dana Echols

Windsor, CO

Stemming from a childhood fascination with birds, Dana Echols studied zoology and ornithology in college. It was not until then that he developed a true love of nature through the lens of a camera. While developing his artistic vision as a young photographer, Dana had the fortune to study with some of photography’s true masters, including Ansel Adams and William Neill in Carmel, California. Dana credits these visionaries for providing him with tools, skills, and insight into the artistry of photography. His works serve as an exploration of nature’s intimacy, with a focus on design, lines, texture and color, revealing the detailed personality of the photo’s subject.
