As a glassblower, Linda Backus works with vessel forms: traditional and free form. She utilizes bright, intense colors and various deocrative elements in her pieces. These decorative elements, lamp worked cane, frit, murrini, glass threads and shards are placed in patterns and designs. They are picked up on a hot glass bubble and become part of the finished piece. In Linda’s more than thirty years of creating glass art, her passion for it has never waned; she continues to look forward to each new work she creates.
